TOULOUSE, France (AP) ? The military on Friday ordered soldiers in a section of southern France to wear civilian clothes when off-base for extra security following deadly, unsolved shootings of paratroopers in the area.

Police brought in counterterrorism experts and specialists in serial killers as they pieced together clues over the shooting deaths Thursday of two paratroopers, officials said.

At a news conference Friday, Toulouse state prosecutor Michel Valet said the gun fired was the same one used in a deadly shooting of a soldier four days before.

He said authorities weren't ruling out any theories about what was behind the attacks, but said a settling of scores was possible and there were no signs so far suggesting terrorism was involved.

As a precaution, the army called for enhanced vigilance among the 7,000-8,000 troops in the 11th paratroopers brigade based in and near Toulouse, and ordered them to dress in civilian attire when off-base, said Lt. Col. Pierre-Yves Sarzaud, an army spokesman.

Four days earlier, a gunman on a motorbike shot and killed another paratrooper in Toulouse, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) away.

Valet said forensic analysis showed that the same weapon was used in the shootings in Montauban and Toulouse.

A judicial official said authorities are examining several possible theories as they try to find the attacker and motive for the shootings.

Both officials were not authorized to be named because the investigation is ongoing.

French media percolated with speculation about what was behind the attacks. Such incidents are rare in France, where gun controls are relatively tight.

The three men targeted Thursday served in a regiment that lost four soldiers in fighting in Afghanistan, the 17th paratrooper combat engineering regiment, Montauban Mayor Brigitte Bareges said.

However, Thursday's victims had not served in Afghanistan, according to a military official.

One of those killed had served in Africa, while the other two had served in French territories overseas but not in other countries, the official said.

France has some 7,250 troops deployed in foreign operations ? about half of them in Afghanistan ? and most of the rest in Africa and on a U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, according to the most recent Defense Ministry figures on its website.

Autopsies were under way Friday for the two soldiers killed in Montauban, a 25-year-old and 23-year-old who were both hit in the head in a 13-shot barrage of gunfire ? some fired point-blank, Valet said. The girlfriend of the younger victim was seven months pregnant.

The third soldier, aged 27, remained in critical but stable condition, Valet said. Their identities were not released.

The national judicial police are overseeing the investigation, a service that includes anti-terrorist investigators and specialists in serial crimes, the judicial official said.

Defense Minister Gerard Longuet said he was heading to the site Friday.

Breast Cancer: Fancy Gadget and Half A Million Ringgit Failed to ...

May (not real name) is a 39-year-old woman. In mid-2008 she delivered her child. Two months before delivery, she noticed the hardening of the left breast. The ultrasound showed nothing wrong. The doctor said that there may be swollen to the breast milk. Even if she breastfed her baby the breast remains hard. There was no problem with her right breast. She went to doctors order and all came to see the same conclusion ? no problem!

Utrasonograhy their breasts, on 1 December 2008 indicated diffuse inflammatory process. The left nipple was retracted. Conclusion: probably diffuse mastitis. A biopsy is recommended. Were performed after the biopsy showed no malignancy. Not satisfied, a Tru-Cut biopsy guided by 29th January 2009. The result showed proliferation of atypical cells, suggesting intra-ductal carcinoma. An open biopsy of the breast tumor confirmed invasive ductal carcinoma with high-grade intraductal carcinoma.

May have sought a second opinion from a doctor in a private hospital in Singapore. Histology slides were re-examined. It was concluded that this was a ductal carcinoma in situ, with the middle school comedonecrosis and infiltrating ductal carcinoma.

CT scan performed 31st January 2009 showed: a) no down payment metastataic in the liver, b) multiple rounded sclerotic lesions seen in the thoracic and lumbar spine as suspected metastatic lesions from c) a small nodule in the right upper lobe of the lung ? metastatic pulmonary nodules, probably. A bone scan confirmed bone metastases in the left shoulder blade, ribs and left three locations along the spine.

Histopathology showed report, cancer cells are immunopositive rerceptors for estrogen and progesterone. Oncoprotein HER2 is overexpressed.

May was advised to start chemotherapy immediately. The first chemo treatment began second February 2009. A pump was fitted to continuously 5-FU. Also received two doses of Navelbine, for each cycle of 5-FU. In addition, May was given Zometa for the bones. May received a total of 13 cycles of chemotherapy from February 2009 to October 2009.

At this point, I asked two questions:

Dennis Quaid's 3rd wife files for divorce in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Actor Dennis Quaid's third wife has filed for divorce, saying the couple's seven-year marriage has "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

Kimberly Buffington Quaid filed a petition in Travis County, Texas, using the initials "B.K." and identifying Quaid as "W.D." William is Quaid's middle name, and two of the addresses in temporary orders issued as part of the case match up to those listed as among the Austin residences for Buffington Quaid.

There are also references to two children born in 2007, when the couple's twins, Zoe and Thomas, were born. The papers were filed March 2. Word of them was first reported Friday by TMZ.

Lisa Kasteler and Cara Tripicchio of WKT Public Relations issued a statement on behalf of Quaid saying, "we can confirm that Kimberley Quaid has filed for divorce."

"Contrary to what has been reported, a satisfactory settlement is being worked out for both parties," the statement said, adding that no more information would be provided "on this private matter."

Court documents show Buffington Quaid is seeking spousal support and attorney fees. They say she believes the couple will enter into a written agreement providing for "possession of, access to and support of" the twins.

According to a temporary order regarding the twins agreed upon by both parties on March 2, Buffington Quaid will be allowed to use a home in Austin and a Mercedes, while Quaid remains at another local residence with a Cadillac Escalade. The couple was to share a Range Rover already in Buffington Quaid's possession.

The twins were newborns when they nearly died in 2007. While at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, they were accidentally given an overdose of the blood thinner heparin. Quaid and his wife became the very public faces of the harrowing family ordeal.

"There were 41 hours where their lives were in the balance," Quaid told The Associated Press in 2010. He added that it was the most frightening day of his life and left him and his wife in "shock, anger and confusion."

Quaid produced and narrated a documentary about medical mistakes called "Chasing Zero: Winning the War on Heathcare Harm" for the Discovery Channel. Documents that became public afterward show Quaid and his wife agreed to a $500,000 settlement with the hospital.

Buffington-Quaid was a real estate agent in Austin when she met Quaid.

The 57-year-old Quaid is a Houston native. He married actress P.J. Soles in November 1978 and the couple divorced in 1983. He married another actress, Meg Ryan, in 1991, before they divorced in 2001.
